
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English actress who is a journalist, media personality, and singer. Since 2007 she has been the judge for Britain's Got Talent television talent competition on ITV. On weekdays in the morning, she co-hosts Heart Breakfast radio with Jamie Theakston. Holden was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire. She spent a good portion of her childhood living in Bishop's Waltham. When she was nine she joined the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden has also appeared on TV in three series of Kiss Me Kate, starring Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham. She was also participant in three ITV series The Grimleys and Celeb with Harry Enfield episodes. A Boxing Day special Agatha Christie's Marple episode "4.50 From Paddington", starring Geraldine McEwan as well as John Hannah. In Ready When You Are Mr. McGill by Jack Rosenthal She starred with Bill Nighy, Tom Courtenay, and Aleha Dixon. Alongside Alesha Dixon David Walliams and Simon Cowell, Holden is a judge on Britain's Got Talent. She was a judge on Britain's Got Talent from 2006 to the year 2006.
